🧠 Psychological Dream Analysis
Carl Gustav Jung
Carl Gustav Jung
"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate."
- Carl Gustav Jung
Who Was Carl Gustav Jung?
Carl Gustav Jung was born in 1875 in Kesswil, Switzerland. After his medical and psychiatric training, he worked closely with Sigmund Freud for many years before parting ways to found his own school - analytical psychology.
Jung saw dreams as a sacred language through which an individual communicates with the unconscious. For him, dreams are not merely expressions of repressed desires but also guides on the journey of personal growth (individuation). He introduced the concept of a 'collective unconscious' shared by all of humanity.
Main Works

📚 Man and His Symbols (1964)

Methodology
Jung's method of dream analysis interprets symbols through universal archetypes. Main archetypes include Persona (social mask), Shadow (parts of the self we reject), Anima/Animus (inner opposite sex), and Self (integrated wholeness). For Jung, dream symbols are both personal and drawn from a collective human heritage.
